Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 10, 2026
Ayo (“Ayo,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides AI-visibility tracking for law firms through our website atayohq.com and our application atapp.ayohq.com (together, the “Service”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. If you have any questions, contact us athello@ayohq.com.
1. Information we collect
Information you provide
- Sign-up details. When you request a trial or create an account, we collect your email address and, where you provide them, your name and the law firm you are affiliated with.
- Communications. If you email us or respond to messages we send, we keep the correspondence so we can help you.
Information collected automatically
- Usage and log data. Like most services, our servers record basic technical information when you use the Service, such as IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and timestamps. We use this for security, debugging, and understanding how the Service is used.
- Cookies and similar technologies. The application uses strictly necessary cookies and browser storage to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising cookies, and our marketing site does not run third-party analytics trackers.
Information from public sources
The core of the Service is data we gather about how AI assistants respond to consumer-style legal questions — for example, which law firms they mention or cite. This information is derived from publicly available AI-generated responses and public web sources, and relates to businesses rather than private individuals.
2. How we use information
- To provide, maintain, and improve the Service;
- To create and administer your account, including sending sign-in links;
- To send you service emails, such as visibility reports and updates about your account. You can opt out of non-essential emails at any time using the link in the email or by contacting us;
- To respond to your requests and provide support;
- To monitor for, prevent, and address security issues, fraud, and abuse;
- To comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for targeted advertising.
3. How we share information
We share personal information only in the following circumstances:
- Service providers. We use trusted vendors to run the Service, including Supabase (database and authentication), Cloudflare (hosting and content delivery), and Resend (transactional email). These providers process data on our behalf under contractual confidentiality and data-protection obligations.
- Legal requirements. We may disclose information if required by law, or if we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.
- Business transfers. If Ayo is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any change in ownership or use of your personal information.
4. Data retention
We keep personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, and for a reasonable period afterwards to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You can ask us to delete your account and associated personal information at any time (see “Your rights” below).
5. Security
We use industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit, access controls, and passwordless sign-in links instead of stored passwords. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights under applicable privacy laws (such as the California Consumer Privacy Act or the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation), including the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Regardless of where you live, you can:
- Request access to or a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
- Ask us to correct or delete your personal information;
- Opt out of non-essential emails.
To exercise any of these rights, emailhello@ayohq.com. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.
7. International transfers
Ayo is operated from the United States, and the Service is intended for use by law firms in the United States. If you access the Service from outside the U.S., your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States and other locations where our service providers operate.
8. Children
The Service is a business tool and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or through the Service before the changes take effect. The “Last updated” date at the top shows when this policy was most recently revised.
